Let NLP Coaching Create Happiness in Your Business and Life

The pursuit of happiness has perplexed mankind since the dawn of time.  Everyone is seeking happiness. What is it that makes you happy?  For a successful company does it look like profit, value and results? For people does it look like health, wealth and relationships? However it feels, looks, sounds or smells to you, the formula is the same and happiness is good for business.

The point at which a variable tends to stabilize is called a set point.  A happiness set point is the point on the continuum of happiness with which we are born.  Researchers say that the happiness set point is established at birth and accounts for approximately 40% of our happiness.  Findings indicated that while positive events (such as winning a contest) and negative events (like an accident) change our happiness levels in the short run, we eventually return to our happiness set point. However, recent findings in Neuroplasticity indicate that we can alter our happiness set point based on what we focus on and the activities we perform.   In other words, whatever we focus on expands. This effects everything--our stress, our energy, our desire to stick to goals and our performance. This is an optimal task for neuro-linguistic programming or NLP.

When you understand your role in creating every experience you have you are more likely to find the joy in whatever life brings.

This joy translates to you enjoying your life at the deepest level.  Happiness is the joy we feel while striving to reach and attain our potential.

Emotions are all fleeting, yet we are trained to value growth and positive emotion together.  We all possess unique talents and abilities, play to your strengths.

When things are going well, the brain has triple the creativity, 31% higher levels of productivity, 23% lower fatigue-related symptoms. These factors equate to a 37% higher level of sales, higher profit, lower burnout and turnover.

Make it a priority to spend time doing things you enjoy and are good at.  Get in positions or create a business where you can utilize your strengths, divest the rest.

Fulfillment

A+

Turn your goals into reality.   It’s easier to achieve when you are being fulfilled and accomplishing incremental goals.  Achievement without fulfillment often does not produce the results you anticipated.  Often we have a skewed view of what success looks like.  Happiness comes into play when we adjust our brain to see how we can reframe the situation or rise above circumstances.

Happiness comes when we (while taking 100% responsibility) identify failure not as a personal setback but something that can be looked at realistically as an opportunity to adapt and change.  When you step outside of any victimization—give yourself permission to break free of negativity, self-blame and perfectionism. Then you can relax; take responsibility; adjust the process; capture key learnings; and integrate them; be aware of who you're being;  and start again.

Achievement

Results are often stymied because of our misperception of our mistakes as failure. Failure is nothing more than an illusion and in our culture we often make not accomplishing our stated results mean that we are failures. What if we shifted our perspective and started with what’s working?

Your personal ability to create results, increase joy, create impact and achievement, and to contribute is not achieved through willpower or “motivation” alone, but through a constant and consistent commitment to taking massive action.

Those who thrive in the most difficult times have a quality of thinking and emotion that ensures commitment to change. They are hungry. They don't stop. They are consistently focused on creating and maintaining momentum.

In business and in life we can focus on SMART goals because what gets measured gets done.
