Change Your Business in 30 Minutes
We have been able to see some of the biggest technological and world changing transformations during our lifetime. We have had many books chronicle success and failure of the biggest brands; some of them global. During shifts in economic stability, one of the things that commonly occurs with entrepreneurs is that some shrink, rather than grow. They pull back instead of moving forward. They cut marketing training and research budgets. Often during the time when they should be moving forward they are pulling back. Of course it requires planning on the front end and allocating the financial resources so they are already accounted for.
The opportunity is to move toward investigating their blind spots instead of getting mired down in the details of just doing more of what they are already doing. However, what if a company could “get to the epicenter” of what caused the decline, what the executive team represented to their teams, the corporate environment or where the cultural environment and trends were going and determined what they didn’t know about what they didn’t know—therein lies the secret to using their blind spots to sustain or regain market share.
For big and small businesses they can do several things to address the blind spots and ride the wave when the environment shifts to ensure they come out on top.
-
Company must be aware of new technology breakthroughs, new insights, and changes in environment, culture and economics
-
Products must meet the core needs of their customers-whether they are emotional and functional
-
Where can the company innovate and what is the consistent process for doing so?
-
The Leader is the most important sales person on the team
-
The Psychology of the Leader-the way the leader thinks (ego) and strategizes, impacts the business
-
Failure and Challenges are opportunities to have a breakthrough
-
Strategic alliances can be symbiotic and can help drive business sustainably
Always Room for Improvement
Tom Brady is undoubtedly one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time. He’s won five Super Bowls and been named MVP four times. Tom Brady is a proponent of personal development.

While most NFL quarterbacks see a slow drop in productivity after a few years in the league, Tom appears to consistently get better, largely due to an intense focus on his health and diet, a laser like focus on his craft, a consistent study of his opponents and a willingness to always look at how to improve his game.
Tom proves that no matter how good you are or how many victories you have championed, there is always room for improvement and even greater success. That mindset served him well during the 2017 Superbowl.

Inform, Adapt, Overcome, Rise Up!
The Falcons gave themselves the opportunity to push the 2017 Superbowl game out of reach with 8:31 left in the third quarter. Up by 25, those rooting for the Falcons probably thought the game was in the bag. In the entire history of the NFL, a team has come back to win just four times after trailing by more than 25 points.

As a Veteran, entrepreneur, former corporate executive, and new mother, I understand the need to be on mission and be precise. I worked with Illume U on a multi million dollar consulting project. The work was on point and exceeded our expectations.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well rounded and knowledgable they were. Do it today! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

As the owner of four businesses, I was very skeptical about taking this type of coaching, and I was pretty sure at first that I wasn't going to do the session. Taylor asked me to "be open" and after a silent prayer and asking God to guide me, I took the plunge. I am very proud of myself that I made the decision to try something different. After my first coaching session, there were no words to really describe how Taylor's coaching made me feel, except one; and that is "Incredible." I can't wait for the next session!
